Does anyone else just LOVE 4th of July??? Its probably my second favorite holiday (after Christmas) cause it is just the best time of year!!! Since I've been with Matt, we always go to the Lake of the Ozarks for the 4th of July which is so crazy and fun for the 4th! The biggest thing is what to wear... you HAVE to be in red, white, and blue (obviously) and it's essential that it is over the top!!!

When designing our new kitchen we decided that there just wasn't a good place for a pantry. Our goal was to open up the space and gain as much countertop space as possible. Those goals trumped having a pantry.
Our kitchen renovation is almost complete and we were able to move back in and start using it last week!! We are just waiting on backsplash and some dry wall touch ups now. So far, I have been using all the decor we had before renovation and I like it!! We had a lot of gifts from our wedding that we never unpacked because we knew we were going to renovate our kitchen and wanted to wait to use that stuff then!!! The one thing that I knew I wanted to find were bigger, wide mouth flour and sugar jars/containers. I liked the looks of my old ones, but they just weren't easy to use when cooking and baking.
On Saturday, my best friends and I threw a baby shower for our sweet friend who is expecting her first little one!! Since they are not finding out the gender of their baby, it was a little challenging to find and decide on a shower theme/decor. Grey and White or Navy and White is always simple and pretty, but we were looking for something with a little more color!! Continue reading “Gender Neutral Baby Shower Theme”
